  • It's hard to not get sentimental looking at these pictures. A year ago we were performing in an epic showcase with some AMAZING aerialists. We were dancing to live music 4 nights/week all over town; always thinking ahead to our next dance adventure. COVID may have altered our timeline a bit [ok a lot], but we are still here.. Slowly regaining our flow and creating new movement. May we always remember the beauty that lives in friendship. The happiness in helping others live their dream. May we always feel the emotions that are expressed through dance..   • After 10 months of not dancing, I worried that we would have lost our flow. Our feeling. Several songs into our first real rehearsal since March, and something felt.. off. Epiphany: in all the hate, chaos, and stress of 2020, I unintentionally created such a strong emotional boundary that despite being a highly sensitive empath, I felt.. numb. Turns out the path back to my love of dancing isn't through movement at all.. but allowing the emotion to flow through me again. Here is our first exhale back, dancing to something completely new to us.   • Solemn masked faces for a solemn day. This bar had an integral role in creating the Wren Wild you see today. The owners, Destinee and Gregg, created a safe space for artists of all genres to express themselves. They CARED about the real music community here. A true home for many musicians and these two dancers. We created our logo with Des here. So many of our friendships were made here. It is because of this bar that we got to perform in our first music video. Many a night we would come straight from work to come dance here for hours.. with happy hearts and a glass [or 2] of whiskey. Everyday lives were changed here.. In this great place in the middle of a strip mall off Lamar.. Our version of Cheers. We only hope everyone gets the fortune of finding such a magical place to create so many fabulous memories. Whatever venture Gregg and Destinee decide to pursue in the future, there will be 2 dancers ready and waiting to support it. Thank you. Thank you.
